Another collection for you all! I present to you my favourite books.

They are (in no particular order):

  • The Liveship Traders Trilogy ~ Robin Hobb
  • His Dark Materials Trilogy ~ Philip Pullman
  • The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls ~ Emilie Autumn
  • The Child Thief ~ Brom
  • A General History of the Robberies and Murders of the Most Notorious Pyrates ~ Captain Charles Johnson
  • The Picture of Dorian Gray ~ Oscar Wilde
  • Wuthering Heights ~ Emily Brontë
  • The Hunger Games ~ Suzanne Collins
  • The Scarlet Letter ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne
  • Nineteen Eighty-Four ~ George Orwell
  • Atlas Shrugged ~ Ayn Rand
  • V For Vendetta ~ Alan Moore & David Lloyd
  • Maus ~ Art Spiegelman
  • The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck ~ A.E. Waite & Pamela Colman Smith
  • Tales of Mystery and Imagination ~ Edgar Allan Poe

I still need to obtain hardback copies of The Count Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett as these also rank amongst my favourites.

I was thinking I might give individual book reviews for each of these and my reasoning behind why they are my favourites — I’m sure many of you are raising your eyebrows at Atlas Shrugged! I assure you that I have my reasons.

I highly recommend all these books, and I simply love that I own such beautiful copies of all of them. Sometimes I just sit next to my bookshelf and pick them up, open them, dip into them, look at them, leaf through them, smell their pages… I wouldn’t give them up for the world ♥
